A company that truly thinks in terms of sustainability does not focus only on itself. We want to support ecological, social, and cultural initiatives outside our Group as well.
To bundle our social commitment, we established the VHV Foundation in 2014. The organisation supports educational, cultural, and scientific projects and integration.
As part of a sponsoring partnership, the VHV Foundation supports Hannover’s girls’ choir and boys’ choir, as well as the annual reading festival, through the support association of the Giovanni children’s circus.
This includes a variety of artistic, literary, and musical events in the Hannover region, among them the State Opera or the Herrenhausen Festival of the Arts.
In the art world, we support art exhibits by the Kestner Society, the Sprengel Museum, and the Wilhelm Busch Museum as well as other initiatives.
Our support of the scientific community includes activities such as two bio-medical research projects of Hannover University of Medicine: Implant research and developments in the prevention of rejection reactions after transplants.
The VHV Foundation supports education through the “School in the Digital World” project from the Sponsors’ Association for the German Economy. In addition, the VHV Foundation is committed to the VHV Sport Campus project as part of the all-day care programme from Brüder Grimm elementary school in Hannover.
In response to the Russian war of aggression, the Foundation has leased 31 apartments since March 2022, where a total of 70 Ukrainian mothers and their children are housed and supported.
