Dual course of study

The remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the private insurance industry. The currently valid allowances can be found in the job advertisements.

In recent years, a takeover offer has been made to all dual students. Good performance during your studies is a prerequisite for this.

The dual course of study takes around three years.

Before you start your studies, you'll get to know your mentor. At the Sponsorship Festival, you have the opportunity to meet the other dual students of your year for the first time. Getting to know each other is intensified during the introductory days, which make it easier for you to arrive at the VHV Group. This is followed by quarterly practical phases at the VHV and theoretical phases at the FHDW. During the practical phases, you will go through various groups of your study focus, and you will have a great deal of freedom of choice when choosing these. Your education is supported by internal and external training. As part of your studies in business administration with a focus on insurance management, you will obtain an IHK degree as an insurance and financial investment clerk after two years. We will provide you with intensive exam preparation so that you are well prepared. At the end of your studies, after three years, you will write your bachelor thesis in one of the training groups.

You have a permanent contact person within the HR department who will accompany you throughout your dual studies program. In addition, our trainers in the specialist departments are available to provide you with knowledge, advice and assistance.
